Living with My High School Girlfriend After College Graduation

“Liu Jinming, let’s end this...”

A girl tilted her face up. A faint blush showed through her fair skin. Her eyes, usually carrying a slightly dazed, endearing look, were now rimmed with red and filled with shimmering tears that glinted between her trembling lashes.

In a disappointed voice, she told Liu Jinming what she had decided.

Liu Jinming gazed at her through misty eyes, his feelings in turmoil. It was as if something invisible had seized his heart, keeping him from saying what he wanted to say.

“Fine. But I hope you don’t regret it!”

As soon as the words left his mouth, the girl turned and walked away without the slightest hesitation.

Liu Jinming stood where he was, watching her retreating figure until she disappeared from sight. She never once looked back.

“My heart hurts so much.”

That love affair, which came to nothing, left Liu Jinming utterly disillusioned with love during the rest of his college years. He shut his heart away and swore off romance.

Suddenly!

A gruff voice interrupted his reverie.

“Hey, handsome! Are you still renting the place or not?”

“Sign here, then leave a red thumbprint. One month’s deposit and one month’s rent. The total rent is 2,200.”

The good news: the rent is cheap. The bad news: he’s moving in with his ex-girlfriend.
