The Chronicle of the Cold Blade’s Salvation

The Record of the Frostblade's Benevolence begins in Falling Snow Valley on Mount Zhongnan, weaving together a sweeping tale of protection and legacy spanning two generations of the jianghu.

Ling Canghai once reigned supreme with his Ice Sword Technique and saved countless lives with his miraculous medical skills. Weary of conflict, he secluded himself in the valley, where he taught disciples with one hand and practiced medicine with the other. There he met the young Guo Yunqing, who had come seeking medicine for his mother. Though Ling saw that the boy's physique was well suited to swordsmanship, Guo's extraordinary talent for medicine ultimately led him to teach the boy everything he knew about healing instead. After six years of study, Guo Yunqing returned home and settled in Guo Family Village, opening the Guo Family Pharmacy. With his kindness and medical skill, he earned the respect of his neighbors and carried on his master's wish to help the world.

To protect justice and peace, Ling Canghai has no choice but to take up his sword once more and face its poisoned edge. Amid the clash between a healer's compassion and the jianghu's brutality, Guo Yunqing carries his needles and medicine chest, determined both to find an antidote and to discover a path of protection amid flashing blades.

From the mist-shrouded Falling Snow Valley to the curling cooking smoke of Guo Family Village, from the medical mysteries of The Secret Essentials of Benevolent Healing to the chilling edge of the Ice Sword Technique, the story lays bare the light and darkness of human nature through clashes of poison and swordplay: the solitary courage of holding fast to the righteous path, the obsession of those swept up in hatred, and, shared by healer and swordsman alike, reverence for life and the resolve to protect it. When the frostblade reflects a heart devoted to saving lives, this feud spanning thirty years
