Chronicles of the Jianghu, Great Qian II

Chronicles of the Great Qian Martial World During the Jingtai era, the realm appears peaceful, but undercurrents churn in the martial world. Shen Yan, a wanderer in blue robes, carries an unnamed sword and a heart devoted to justice. At the Luoyang Banquet, he cannot stand by as the young master of the Golden Blade Sect abducts a commoner’s daughter, so he disables the man’s martial arts. From that moment on, he is drawn into an endless pursuit. He travels through the misty waterways of Jiangnan and takes refuge at the Tonglu ferry, but the Golden Blade Sect eventually tracks him down. On a lone boat on the frigid river, sword light flashes, shattering the twilight rain over the mountains and opening the prelude to the martial world’s strife. This is a solitary journey to prove the Way through the sword. Shen Yan’s sword belongs to no sect, yet it can break the Golden Blade Sect’s tyranny and strike down injustice. He walks alone, stumbling forward, but through pursuit and conspiracy he must protect the spark of chivalry in his heart. The Golden Blade Sect’s vindictiveness is only the beginning. As his journey takes him farther afield, more secrets hidden deep in the martial world, struggles between righteous and evil factions, and even undercurrents tied to the imperial court will gradually unfold before him like the mist over the Fuchun River. Wherever there are people, there is a martial world; wherever there is a martial world, there are grievances and grudges. With the edge of his sword, Shen Yan breaks through more than the Golden Blade Sect’s encirclement. He also cracks open a tangled mystery of conspiracy, justice, and love and hatred. He must face sectarian infighting, the treachery of human nature, the bonds of the past, and the difficult choice between “justice” and “survival.” A lone boat sails into the night, its sword shadow following the waves. Watch how this wanderer in blue uses the sword in his hand to forge a path of chivalry through a storm-tossed martial world, bringing justice to light and preserving the spirit of righteousness.
