Socially anxious Su Yu has been diagnosed with end-stage heart failure. He opens his eyes and finds himself inside a melodramatic novel about a domineering CEO chasing his wife, as the villainous secretary at CEO Li Chen’s side.
The good news is that he’s got his life back. The bad news is that he’s been bound to a System and has to sabotage the male and female leads’ relationship to stay alive.
The thought of deliberately approaching people to cause trouble makes Su Yu’s heart clench. This job is more unbearable than a terminal illness! But the chance to stay alive is too tempting, so he can only grit his teeth and get started on breaking up the couple.
At their first iconic encounter, both leads are drugged. Su Yu panics and rushes the heroine to the hospital, then struggles to carry Li Chen off for a cold shower, accidentally losing his first kiss in the process.
At their heart-fluttering encounter, the female lead is pushed by the second female lead and about to fall into Li Chen’s arms. Su Yu tries to pull the CEO away, but instead knocks him into the fountain, and the two end up pressed tightly together in the icy water.
At their take-her-in-and-live-together encounter, Li Chen’s car is about to hit the heroine on a rainy night. Su Yu yanks the steering wheel, sending himself and Li Chen plunging straight into the sea.
After all these mishaps, Li Chen becomes completely convinced that the heroine is bad luck and avoids her whenever he sees her.
Su Yu doesn’t notice a thing. He focuses entirely on completing his tasks, unaware that those chaotic moments, embracing in wet clothes and sharing a kiss to breathe underwater, have already made Li Chen fall for him.
When Su Yu finally completes his mission and gets ready to run, Li Chen pinches his reddened earlobe and chuckles. “So all those little tricks of yours were because you were jealous of her.”

It's quite good to watch. There are a lot of conflicts in the front of the story, but almost all the paintings in the back are very bland and warm. The plot line and emotional line are complete, there are no big pitfalls, and the characters in it are good and bad, which is quite interesting. [Love]
It feels like the author, Mr. Da, suddenly uttered some words with a very old-fashioned, niche tone from the protagonist's mouth, which was a bit dramatic.
Personal opinion: (No malice, the author writes very well, it's my problem, everyone who can write a book is very good [][]) The structure and plot are complete, but I don't find it satisfactory. It's not the author's problem, it's my own expectations for the protagonist's character and plot development. In fact, I can't tell. Maybe I just want to see the conflict between the two protagonists?
I really liked the part where he was a secretary, but when he was promoted to a private secretary, their relationship was different. I just felt awkward. I felt that Su would be despised and criticized, even though Li was definitely capable of protecting him and valued him, but he just couldn't stand it. Maybe I'm a little controlled?
And the original owner, I feel like he is such an outstanding person. As mentioned before, he has left for a better world. Later, it felt like the protagonist got the head start with the halo he gave, even though Li completely liked Su.
