NBA: After Getting Cut, I Gained Peak Kobe's Skills

At twenty-nine, Chen Feng was once known as “the Iron Man,” but an Achilles tendon rupture sent his career into decline. At the crucial point in his contract year, the manager of the team he’d played for over many years humiliates him and throws him out without a second thought: “Chen, your knees are like an eighty-year-old woman’s. We don’t need a cripple.” As Chen Feng packs his bags, faces the media’s sneers, and hits the darkest moment of his life, the [Superstar Dream-Chasing System] awakens. The System doesn’t make him invincible outright. Instead, it lets him trade “Rage Points” and “Clutch Plays” for peak experience cards of NBA legends and body-repair elixirs. To return to the court, Chen Feng accepts an insulting ten-day contract with a tanking bottom-feeder team. On the night of his debut, he faces the former team that just dumped him and activates the “Peak Kobe Experience Card, Limited Edition.” The man everyone thought was washed drags around an injured leg, or so it seems, and drops thirty points in the fourth quarter, sealing the win over his old team with his signature fadeaway! From then on, he gradually repairs his body through games and unlocks the “Curry Three-Point Package,” the “Jordan Hang-Time Package,” and the “Iverson Crossover Package.” From a castoff nobody wants to a superstar the entire league fights over. As Chen Feng lifts the O’Brien Trophy, he looks at the manager who fired him and says coldly, “Thanks for firing me. You made the basketball god I am today.”
