The Eastern Palace Has a Little Darling to Spoil

When she was five, Su Wanyan faced down a vicious dog in the freezing snow to retrieve a cold steamed bun, and was left on the brink of death, gripped by despair.

Xiao Jingcheng, the fourteen-year-old crown prince, bent down and lifted her out of the mud. From that moment on, he pulled her from the abyss and into the clouds.

He gave her a name and warmth, sheltered her beneath his wings, and became the little darling of the Eastern Palace, as everyone there came to regard her.

Everyone said the crown prince was aloof and proud, untouched by worldly concerns. No one knew that all his tenderness and every exception he made were meant for her alone.

She was the only light in his dark palace, the most impulsive decision of his life, and the obsession he would never regret.

From an abandoned orphan to the apple of the crown prince's eye, from the Eastern Palace's “little sister” to the empress standing by his side, they spent more than a decade making that journey.

He defied all opposition for her and kept his promise of “one partner for life.”

She overcame her timidity and grew into a radiant jewel worthy of ruling the realm.

This is a story of salvation and growth, of devotion and being cherished above all others.

Watch as a little girl warms the heart of a cold crown prince, and a lowly orphan step by step ascends to the summit of the stars beside him.

“Jingcheng, take me home.”

“Wanyan, wherever you are is home.”
