Love Through Many Lifetimes, Inscribed on the Three Lives Stone

Love Through Many Lifetimes on the Three Lives Stone, Synopsis

The Three Lives Stone stands beside the River of Forgetfulness. The Great Sunlight Emperor of the Ninth Heaven rules the dawn across the Three Realms, his divine nature blazing like the sun. The Lord of Moonlit Nights of the Nether Abyss presides over the clear light of midnight in the Six Paths, his immortal bones as cool and aloof as the cold moon. Born from the same source as light and shadow when the primordial world first began, the two were separated by the Heavenly Dao’s laws: one was stationed in the highest heavens to protect all living beings, the other in the Nether Abyss to suppress evil. Even looking at each other became an impossible wish.

Across a thousand lifetimes, the Great Sunlight Emperor burned up his divine power in an attempt to erase their fated bond from the stone, but the Lord of Moonlit Nights used his immortal essence to protect the inscription. “We were not denied across lifetimes because of the words on the stone, but because both of us bear all living beings on our shoulders.” Now the Three Realms are in turmoil, and light and shadow must finally stand side by side. They will become torches themselves and burn away the shackles of the Heavenly Dao. This time, they want only one thing: even if the Three Lives Stone cracks and their souls are utterly destroyed, they will exchange it all for a lifetime in which “sun and moon shine together, and love finds its one true home.”
