Trials After Being Reborn

Synopsis of Rebirth After the Tribulations

At the foot of the famous mountains of Wu and Chu, Chen Ze and his wife Zhang Jiu have spent half their lives longing for a child. On their way home from praying at a temple, Zhang Jiu saves a lotus flower entangled by a little snake, and their fate is rewritten. She unexpectedly becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son, Chen Chuang, with a strange lotus-shaped mark on his chest. Born with this mysterious birthmark, the child seems bound to fate's red thread from the moment he arrives, drawn into a whirlpool of an unknown destiny.

As the years pass, eighteen tribulations and eighty-one trials come surging like hidden tides during Chen Chuang's youth. Demonic assaults, trials of the heart, world-ending calamities... Every obstacle conceals deadly danger. The lotus mark on his chest sometimes dims like a dust-covered pearl, and sometimes shines like the rosy light of dawn, unleashing mysterious power at the brink of life and death. After weathering more than half a century of hardships, Chen Chuang finally breaks through his many shackles at the age of 58 and achieves his true cultivation. Then the mystery of rebirth spanning multiple cycles of reincarnation, hidden behind the lotus mark, comes to light.
