Journey to the West: I Led Tang Monk and His Disciples Astray

Lin Ye transmigrates into the world of Journey to the West, becoming a young monk who tends the fire, brought from Chang'an by Tang Sanzang. He only wants to keep his head down and make it to Spirit Mountain, but General Yin kills him with a single slap at Shuangcha Ridge, unexpectedly activating the [Journey to the West Trouble-Making System]! As long as he throws the original story into chaos and makes the gods and Buddhas lose their cool, he earns rewards! Lin Ye sees the light: why fetch the scriptures when making trouble is so much better? Facing Sun Wukong, he whips out The Actor's Art of Self-Cultivation. “Brother Monkey, after five hundred years under that mountain, you can't let your acting skills get rusty!” Facing Zhu Bajie, he claps him on the shoulder. “Wuneng, wouldn't you rather retire at Gao Village? The whole journey is nothing but vegetarian meals!” Facing Tang Sanzang, he presses his palms together. “Master, have you ever heard of ‘PUA’? We can't believe everything the Buddha promises us!” When they reach Spirit Mountain and the Tathagata is about to hand out rewards, Lin Ye pulls out the original Journey to the West. “Buddha, you can drop the act. We've all read the script!”
