After transmigrating to Journey to the West, Lu Gou became the senior disciple of Patriarch Bodhi.
He thought he could keep his head down forever, but then he was bound to the [Karmic Interference System].
A casual hint to the monkey about “the slanting moon and three stars, the spiritual terrace and square inch” earned him +10,086 Heavenly Merit.
He quietly changed Sha Seng’s fate, sparing him the daily torment of a flying sword piercing his heart, and the Journey to the West plot began to fall apart.
The Heavenly Court was shaken, and Buddhism panicked: “The tribulation has changed. Investigate at once!”
Lu Gou stayed tucked away on Fangcun Mountain, watching his interference points skyrocket with a grin. “You all carry on. I’m just making a few little changes…”
Until one day, Patriarch Bodhi suddenly summoned him to his bed and asked, “My disciple, just how much have you interfered with this tribulation…?”
