Eighties Military Marriage: The Abstinent Officer Calls Me His Darling Every Night

[Period setting + military marriage + two equally unhinged leads + intense push and pull + raising a child + marriage before love]

Shen Yici is a black-hearted beauty. To escape being sold to a fool by her parasitic parents, she knocks on the door of Lu Beizheng, the notorious “Living Yama” of the entire military region, on a rainy night at the guesthouse.

From the start, it’s a complete battlefield. She crawls out of his bed with her clothes in disarray and, right in front of everyone who’s caught them in the act, calls out in a sweet, delicate voice:

“Chief, you were so tireless last night that we not only consummated our marriage, we may even have a baby on the way…”

The whole compound erupts!

Did the cold, abstinent Lu Beizheng, who never went near women, really break his vows?

After they marry, everyone waits for Shen Yici to be thrown out.

Instead, they see their aloof chief, sternly drilling his troops one moment, then pinning her in a corner with red-rimmed eyes the next:

“You used me and now you think you can run? Shen Yici, you’re never getting out of my bed in this lifetime.”

An outwardly aloof, fiercely possessive and unhinged officer vs. a seemingly innocent but ruthless, alluring beauty.
