Rewinding Time and Space

Chen Guan is a gifted but ill-fated criminal investigator. During a bizarre series of murders, he not only failed to solve the case but also watched his beloved die. He was then gravely wounded and left on the brink of death while chasing the culprit. At death's door, he unexpectedly gained the ability to transmigrate through time, returning to key moments before the crimes took place. But this power is not all-purpose: each journey consumes his life force, and changing the past can trigger unpredictable "butterfly effects."

Consumed by regret and resentment, Chen Guan begins his journey through time. He returns to the past again and again, trying to prevent the tragedy, only to discover that a mysterious organization called the "Hand of Shadows" lies behind the murders. The organization seems to control time as well, and knows Chen Guan's ability inside out.

During his journeys, Chen Guan meets forensic pathologist Su Yu, hacker Lin Xiaoyu, and historian Zhao Ming, who gradually become his trusted allies. He also faces pressure from within the police force, especially the suspicions of his superior, Captain Li, and the relentless pursuit of the truth by the mysterious reporter Zhou Yuqing.

As the investigation deepens, Chen Guan discovers that the case is intricately connected to an unsolved mystery from ten years ago. The Hand of Shadows' ultimate goal is to use a device known as the "Spacetime Core" to alter history and reshape the world order. Even more shocking, the mastermind behind the Hand of Shadows is someone he once trusted more than anyone.

With each journey through time and each attempt to set things right, Chen Guan gradually grows from a panicked man trying to save everyone into a cool-headed strategist who knows when to make sacrifices.
