In the sixteenth year of King Jian of Qi, Tian Wen, a history student, transmigrates into the body of an orphan in Linzi. Gifted with the ability to see the spirits of the dead, he is nevertheless looked down upon in the rigidly stratified state of Qi. All the glory and achievement of the Six States belong to the powerful. He wants only to survive quietly, but after an accident, Lord Changping of Qin takes an interest in him, giving him the chance to travel to Qin. Tossed about by the turmoil of the age, he leaves Qi for Qin, seeking neither wealth nor rank. With the wisdom of two lifetimes, he vows to carve out a place for himself in Qin through his own efforts.
