I Submit the Doomsday Report, and a National Treasure Becomes the Key

I’m an antique book restorer, and I submitted a doomsday forecast to the government. Then I discovered that the key to every world-ending disaster was one of our nation’s prized academicians. The chief engineer of controlled nuclear fusion will set the East China Sea ablaze. The leading gene-editing expert will unleash a virus. The deep-space exploration specialist will attract an alien civilization... While other nations collapse in the face of disaster, we quietly reap alien technology and leap forward as a civilization. Until a higher-dimensional civilization issues a warning: “Inferior civilization, cheating is forbidden!” I push up my glasses and write on the final exam paper: “Now, who’s the examiner?” #Apocalypse #HandingItOverToTheNation #PowerFantasy #WildImagination #NationalTreasures
