The Great Yu Empress

As a fake male favorite, I seized the empire through the power of fortune. Gu Changci, a modern-day strategist, transmigrated into the fictional Great Yu Dynasty, where he found himself cast as a “fake male favorite,” sent by the regent to the puppet empress as a way to humiliate the imperial throne. With his “fortune-blessed” golden finger, Gu Changci rose from the imperial harem. On the surface, he was the empress’s plaything; in secret, he won over renowned ministers, manipulated grain prices, and took control of military intelligence. Time and again, he escaped certain death, helping the empress purge the court before ultimately usurping imperial power himself. With the people calling for him to rule, he donned the imperial robes and established an unprecedented legacy. His identity: a male favorite, originally a scholar punished for a crime and forcibly sent into the palace. His personality: cool-headed, calculating, and ruthless. His past shaped him: betrayed after reaching the pinnacle of power in his previous life, he trusts power, not fate.
