Mecha No. 8 is the combat unit Mou Lianfa inherited from his fallen elder brother. It is his key weapon in tracking down the Demon Dragon Mecha and avenging his brother and the fallen warriors. It is also what gives him the confidence to rush to the battlefield at a moment’s notice while concealing his identity behind the guise of a delivery rider.
This mecha carries Mou Lianfa’s obsession and pain. Three years ago, his brother piloted Mecha No. 6 alongside their comrades to face the Demon Dragon Mecha. Their own mecha technology was outdated and had fatal flaws, and in the end, the entire team was killed. The Demon Dragon Mecha then vanished without a trace. Ever since, Mou Lianfa has taken over Mecha No. 8. He deliberately wears a delivery uniform as he moves through the city streets, using his disguise to search for clues about the Demon Dragon Mecha, while persistently reminding mecha designers like Yang Ming of their machines’ flaws and angrily denouncing how those flaws have led to the needless deaths of more fallen warriors.
Mecha No. 8 is built for close- to mid-range combat and rapid assaults. Equipped with vector thrusters, it can make agile dashes and move at high speed. Its main weapon is the intelligent sword “Light of Eternity,” which unleashes ice-blue energy attacks and boasts tremendous close-combat power. It has faced off against enemy mecha such as the Flamefire Demon Armor many times, with Mou Lianfa’s piloting skill making up for some of its shortcomings. But it has clear weaknesses too: it lacks infrared sensors and can easily lose track of targets in complex conditions such as heavy smoke. This allowed the Flamefire Demon Armor to escape right under Mou Lianfa’s nose, making him all the more determined to push for mecha upgrades and eliminate design flaws so his comrades will never suffer the same fate as his brother.
To Mou Lianfa, Mecha No. 8 is no longer just a piece of combat equipment. It is his brother’s legacy, his comrades’ hope, and the reason he continues down the path of vengeance.
