The Urban Legend of Tycoon Mu Chen

In the cold hallway at five thirty in the morning, Mu Chen's daily breakfast is a day-old steamed bun and cold boiled water. His faded school uniform and mountain of debt are shackles he cannot escape.

The most unremarkable student from a poor family at Jiangcheng University, he rushes to early classes while chewing on steamed buns, working part-time as a delivery driver and dishwasher to scrape together living expenses. He does it all to support his frail parents and keep their struggling family afloat. But even when he gives everything he has, he cannot escape public mockery from his rich classmates or the anxiety of his grades falling behind. He can only watch his crush, the class beauty Su Yao, from afar.

On a stormy night, he pushes his dead electric scooter along at a run just to save the five-yuan delivery fee. Humiliated in front of the class, he clenches his fists and swallows his resentment. Late at night, over a cheap cup of instant noodles, he writes in his notebook: “I can't spend my whole life like this.”

He thinks his life is destined to be one long struggle and compromise, unaware that a sudden accident has already set events in motion. When the poor but brilliant student's restraint reaches its limit and the gears of fate begin to turn, the hardships crushing him will become the steps that lead to his rise!

Poverty is not destiny, and humiliation is not the end. Mu Chen's life was never meant to be a mediocrity whose future was set in stone. An accident is about to free him from his shackles and turn his life around, until everyone who once mocked him looks up at his brilliance!
