Bonds between master and disciple, the war between the Wu and Demon clans, the rise of humanity, the creation of the world, battles over magical treasures, a game against Heaven, clashes of chaos, the Penglai Immortal Abode, legends of Buzhou Mountain, the birth of Kong Xuan, the prelude to the Investiture of the Gods, ancient mythology
Before the Three Realms existed, when chaos was just beginning, a mass of innate spiritual energy was born in accordance with the Dao. It drifted with the Primordial Chaos, innocent and unaware. Hongjun preached the Dao in the Violet Heavens Palace, and the profound heavenly music drew the spirit through chaos. After listening for ten thousand years, it finally took human form and was given the name Meng Wu. Hongjun made it his fourth disciple, placing it in the same school as Pangu, Donghuang Taiyi, and Nuwa.
Pangu wielded the Pangu Banner to create the world, dying in the process and transforming into the Three Pure Ones and the Ancestral Wu. The Three Realms were established. Meng Wu settled on Buzhou Mountain and built an abode to forge an unrivaled divine sword. He gathered all the rare materials he needed, only for the collapse of the Pillar of Heaven to ruin his efforts. Later, he moved to Spirit Mountain and built Penglai Island, forged an Ancestral Wu avatar, helped Kong Xuan break out of his shell, fought a fierce cross-realm battle against Zhunti, and was swept into the war between the Wu and Demon clans.
On the battlefield of Zhuolu, Chiyou used the Dutian Divine Fiend Formation to sacrifice living beings in blood, hoping to gather the true form of the Ancestral Wu and become a Sage. With help from the Sages, Xuanyuan fought back with the Xuanyuan Sword. Pangu's reincarnation appeared and shattered the Wu clan's ambitions. With the order of the Three Realms established, seven Sages joined forces to challenge the Violet Heavens Palace and confront Hongjun, who had merged with the Dao. Would they break Heaven's constraints or become prisoners of its laws?
From a seed of the Primordial Dao to a Sage who wages war on Heaven, Meng Wu walks the line between the Dao and tribulation. He tricks others out of magical treasures, makes close friends, and battles powerful foes. He remains true to himself through the war between the Wu and Demon clans, the contest between gods and humans, and infighting among the Sages, yet cannot escape the schemes of Heaven. A Sage self-destructs, the Violet Heavens Palace vanishes into the void, and Hongjun's wild laughter rings through chaos. A new era dawns for the Three Realms, and Meng Wu's legend has only just begun to reveal the ultimate mysteries of the Primordial Chaos.
