The Lucky Baby Tells Fortunes, and Emperors from Five Kingdoms Line Up to Be Her Dad

Beloved by five kingdoms + adorable lucky child + farming and building wealth + feel-good read + understands animal speech

The Chen family is so poor they can barely scrape by. Their eldest son is crippled, their second son is mentally disabled, and their third son is as ungrateful as a wolf. They’re the most miserable family in the village.

But after Grandma Chen takes in six-year-old Yueyue, the Chen family rises to prominence!

The eldest son, once crippled, can suddenly run like the wind. The second son, once dull-witted, becomes clever and quick, and they even separate from their ungrateful third brother.

Take Yueyue up the mountain, and wild mushrooms, pheasant eggs, and even wild boars turn up for the taking.

The little girl chatters away with the animals, and they all obediently follow her home.

Take Yueyue into town, and one important person after another shows up, filling their pockets with silver.

Yueyue counts on her fingers and points left: “Good luck that way.”

She counts again: “Danger that way. Don’t go!”

The little girl can predict the future and tell good fortune from bad. With her help, the Chen family builds a house, opens shops, and sees their lives grow better and better.

Grandma Chen thanks Heaven for giving her such a lucky child. But then her eldest son suddenly says, “Mother, I’m going to rebel and make Yueyue a princess.”

Her second son waves his hand and leads a crowd of palace attendants into the house. “Yueyue, do you want a palace? Your second dad will give you one.”

Huh? How did the sons she took in turn into emperors? Grandma Chen is baffled.

Before she can make sense of it, the cavalry of three kingdoms charges into her home.

The ruler of Beijin declares, “I’m Yueyue’s third dad!”

The old emperor of Zhou says, “Nobody else gets to claim her. I’m Yueyue’s real father!”

The newly enthroned young emperor of Xiping cries, “Your fifth dad is here. Who dares cause trouble?”

Grandma Chen: “???”

Yueyue: “Daddies, don’t rush. I’ll call each of you in turn, and everyone will get a turn.”
