President Lu's Sweet Little Sugarplum

Synopsis:

Xia Wanxing thinks the boldest thing she’s ever done is drop a file at Lu Zhiyan’s feet on her first day at work, then crash headfirst into the arms of the man rumored to be as cold as an iceberg.

She expects to face “social death,” but instead...

On a stormy day, he appears outside her office with an umbrella and says casually, “I’m going that way. I’ll give you a ride.”

When she works late, he has his assistant bring her a warm dinner with a note: “Remember to eat on time.”

When a project runs into trouble, he shields her and glares at the people giving her a hard time. “How dare you mess with someone who belongs to me, Lu Zhiyan?”

Everyone in City A knows Lu Zhiyan is an iceberg that no amount of warmth can melt, until Xia Wanxing comes along.

He remembers that she doesn’t eat cilantro, prepares brown sugar and ginger tea for her period, and holds her close to shield her from every storm.

At a banquet, someone teases Mr. Lu about when he became so clingy. The man looks down at the bright-eyed girl in his arms, his gaze filled with an irrepressible tenderness. “What can I do? I have to keep my little sweetie in the palm of my hand every day to feel at ease.”

Xia Wanxing: “Mr. Lu, everyone says I’m not good enough for you...”

Lu Zhiyan tightens his arms around her and kisses the top of her head. “I decide whether you’re good enough. Your only job is to be sweet. Leave the rest to me.”

A sweet romance about an iceberg CEO who spoils his scatterbrained assistant until she becomes the apple of his eye. His daily thought: “I want to take her home today, too.”
