The monk Danzi stole the Nine Heavens Secret Manual three times and, under the guidance of Saint Aunt, mastered seventy-two Taoist arts alongside Zuo Chuer. Saint Aunt’s daughter, Hu Yonger, was reborn into the mortal world, learned magic, and married Wang Ze of Beizhou. The corrupt officials, who “never tend to proper business, only ask for money every day,” squeezed the people until “officials drove the people to revolt.” Saint Aunt therefore led her followers in helping Wang Ze launch an uprising in Beizhou. The court hurriedly sent Wen Yanbo to crush the rebellion. As the two armies faced off, the monk Danzi followed the will of the gods and Buddhas, transforming into Zhuge Suizhi. Together with Ma Sui and Li Sui, he used the “Heavenly Dipper Righteous Art” to defeat the rebels’ “Earthly Fiend Evil Art.” In the end, Wang Ze was executed by slow slicing, Saint Aunt was sentenced to guard the Heavenly Book, and the rebellion was put down.
