A Military Marriage by Proxy: I Hear the Reserved Officer's Thoughts

Lin Wanwan is transported into a period novel as the cannon-fodder fake heiress. The real heiress schemes to marry her off to Huo Cheng, the infamous “Living Yama” of the Northwest Military District.

They say Huo Cheng has a face as dark as a demon’s and can scare small children into silence. His first two blind dates both ran away in terror.

On their wedding night, Lin Wanwan trembles at the sight of the man’s bulging muscles, straining against his uniform, and his face as cold as ice.

But the next second, a wild inner voice slips into her ears:

[My wife is so fair, like she’s made of milk candy.]

[Her waist is so tiny, I could snap it with one hand.]

[She’s looking at me! My heart’s racing. Should I act a little fiercer to cover it up?]

Lin Wanwan: ???

So this is the real Living Yama?

Since you’re not at all what you seem, don’t blame me for taking advantage of your affection.

Soon, the residents of the military compound are horrified to discover that the decisive Colonel Huo has a pampered little wife bossing him around. He doesn’t get angry. He even cheerfully washes her feet every day!

Huo Cheng: [My wife’s feet smell so good. I want to bite them.]

Lin Wanwan: …Pervert!
