Back to the 1980s: From the Start, I Awaken the Legacy of a Taoist Master

When he was ten, Li Xiangyang was possessed by an ancient Daoist mystic and became the village’s laughingstock, known as the “village-guarding fool.”

On the night he turned eighteen, a bizarre accident broke the possession. Not only did he regain his senses, he also inherited the mystic’s esoteric arts: he could read fortune, speak true words, and exorcise evil spirits!

Eight years spent watching from the sidelines had taught him to see through people. A thick black cloud above his father’s head foretold disaster. As mass layoffs swept the country, the factory tricked his father into signing an agreement and drove him into a desperate corner. Everyone thought he was still the same fool, not realizing he was no longer the gullible boy of old.

A single “Dao” mantra steadied his father’s mind, and a few words were enough to break up the confrontation. This man, who had been “a fool for eight years,” was ready to use the mystic arts to shake up the era!

From village fool to urban legend, watch him use ancient wisdom to forge his own legend amid the tide of reform!
