The Billion-Dollar Game

When a billion-dollar prize is on the line for ten thousand people at the bottom of society, survival is the only rule. Food delivery driver Ding Dongji’s life is a complete mess. A rich kid humiliates him by throwing money in his face. He chews on cold instant noodles in his seven-square-meter rental room, and even buying his little sister a gift takes days of hesitation. Then an anonymous email lands in his inbox: “Want to rewrite your fate? Come play the Pyramid Game. The winner takes home a billion.” He thinks it’s a scam, but after signing his name, he’s forcibly taken away. Ten thousand people from the bottom of society are thrown into a prison-like arena, where bizarre rules haunt them at every turn: no leaving your cell after midnight, supply crates hide deadly traps, and trust is the sharpest knife of all. Some stab each other over half a bottle of water; others climb to the top through betrayal. Wading through a mountain of corpses, Ding Dongji becomes one of the last players standing at the pyramid’s peak…
