Young White Horse, Drunk and Wild

Ye Dingzhi held his sword against his neck and gave a resolute smile, thinking he had wasted his whole life. But when he opened his eyes again, the timid, death-fearing Crown Prince of the Heavenly Realm, Furong Jun, was screaming inside him: “Who put a blade to this lord’s neck?!”

From then on, one body held two lives. Today he might be the wild and unrestrained Demon Lord of Beili, determined to drink every last drop of wine in the world. Tomorrow he might be a teary-eyed little darling, complaining that coarse clothes chafe his skin.

He blurts out to Yi Wenjun, “This lord doesn’t like your type at all,” then turns around and downs three jars of Spring Breeze Drunk. He reminisces about the old days with Baili Dongjun, arm in arm, while secretly swapping the strongest liquor for sugar water. One moment he might be intimidating the crowd with his unmatched power; the next, he could be gazing at Ye Anshi with tears in his eyes: “Son, your father… I mean, this lord, stubbed his toe on a rock!”
