My Ghost Neighbor Is Way Too Clingy

Synopsis On the first day Jiang Xiaotian moves into an old apartment building, he discovers that the neighbor next door is “special”: a ghost only he can see. He thinks keeping out of each other’s way would be best, but the ghost is absurdly clingy. Whenever he cooks, an extra pair of chopsticks appears beside him. When he stays up late working on a proposal, a soft voice floats from behind him, murmuring, “Go to bed early.” Even when he goes out to take the trash, the ghost follows right behind, claiming, “The sun is too strong outside. I’m worried you’ll get heatstroke.” At first, Jiang Xiaotian is scared out of his wits and tries every way he can think of to drive the ghost away. But he soon realizes that, clingy as the ghost is, it means no harm and even secretly helps him when he runs into trouble. As they spend more time together, he gradually uncovers the secret behind the ghost’s lingering in the human world. Through a series of ridiculous everyday encounters with his clingy companion, he goes from fear to exasperation, then develops a habit and attachment that even he finds absurd. As danger quietly draws near, the strange bond between a man and a ghost becomes the most unexpected salvation for them both.
