Paper Effigy Craftsman in the Siheyuan: From the Start, I Scare Jia Zhangshi Into Wetting Herself

Su Chen transmigrates to a Beijing courtyard house in 1962, becoming a frail, sickly orphan. Everyone in the courtyard looks down on his family's traditional paper-figure craft, calling it unlucky.

Taking advantage of the situation, Jia Zhangshi barges in and demands the main house to use as Banggeng's wedding home. Yi Zhonghai takes their side, hoping to bully Su Chen into surrendering his inheritance by appealing to morality.

Facing the entire courtyard full of scoundrels, Su Chen awakens the **[Underworld Craftsman System]**!

The more lifelike and terrifying his “underworld creations” are, the more rewards he gets and the stronger he becomes!

From the start, he makes a pair of golden boy and jade maiden paper figures. “Auntie, you have a dark aura between your brows. Take these paper figures to ward off evil!”

In the dead of night, the paper figures blink. Jia Zhangshi is scared stiff on the spot!

Yi Zhonghai wants Su Chen to support him in his old age?

Su Chen holds a corpse-measuring ruler and smiles kindly. “Uncle Yi, don't move. Let me take your measurements. You'll love this coffin made of golden-thread nanmu!”

Silly Zhu wants to throw a punch? Su Chen plays the suona piece “Grand Funeral” and sends him questioning his entire life!

From then on, life in the courtyard takes a bizarre turn.

Others deal with scoundrels using their fists. Su Chen deals with them by pulling “underworld pranks.”

The scoundrels in the courtyard tremble in fear. “Master Su, please put away your powers! We'll behave like decent people, all right?”
