Genre: Traditional Cultivation, Mortal's Journey, Comeback and Growth
Synopsis:
In the vast world of cultivation, spiritual root aptitude determines everything. Some are born with Heavenly Spiritual Roots, admired by all as they embark on the path to the heavens. Others, however, are dismissed as good-for-nothing because of their false spiritual roots, doomed to live their lives without ever cultivating immortality.
Lin Fan is an ordinary mortal from Qingshi Town. His parents died young, and he has suffered a bitter fate. On the day the Qingmu Sect takes in disciples, he is found to possess all five elements of spiritual roots, but each is weak. His false spiritual roots make him a laughingstock throughout town. Just as he is about to despair, a mysterious black stone among his father's belongings opens a tiny door of hope for him.
Unable to draw spiritual energy into his body with his false spiritual roots, he uses the black stone as a medium, laboriously sensing the faintest traces of spiritual energy between heaven and earth, day after day, year after year. Amid ridicule and scorn, loneliness and despair, he uses his mortal body to reach the pinnacle of the Immortal Path.
This is the legend of a man with mortal roots who seeks the Dao, and a tragic song of defying fate. There is no heaven-defying golden finger, no easy encounters, only perseverance and determination, one step at a time. See how Lin Fan, burdened with false spiritual roots, carves out his own path to the heavens in the cruel world of cultivation!
