An alternate-history tale of the Zheng clan, built on the premise that Zheng Chenggong's father, Zheng Zhilong, never surrendered to the Qing; that steamships could be mass-produced and quick-drying cement and dragon-scale ash developed; that the Longwu Emperor escaped assassination and fled to Southeast Asia; and that Zheng Chenggong fought his way up the Yangtze estuary to rescue Jin Shenghuan and Li Chengdong.
