I’m a Well-Connected Insider from the 21st Century

After transmigrating into the empress, Shen Qingyi wants nothing more than to slack off on the clock and live a peaceful life.

But her boss, the emperor, is impossible to deal with. By day, he gives her the cold shoulder and tells her to focus on her career. At night, he wants to talk about their feelings?

Her colleagues in the harem are even more competitive. The Noble Consort poisons someone today, the Wise Consort frames someone tomorrow. Everyone’s palace-intrigue performance metrics are through the roof.

Shen Qingyi puts everything she’s learned to use: managing the harem with KPIs, assigning tasks with OKRs, and analyzing big data to figure out who’s trying to harm her!

She thought this was just a job, until that dog of an emperor took an arrow for her and, eyes red, said, “If you dare to quit, I’ll go bankrupt just to show you!”

Watch as a modern career queen uses Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations to carve out a path through the imperial palace, and even train her boss into a loyal lapdog along the way.

Faced with the harem’s tangled web of schemes, she switches on professional project-management mode.

She planned to use modern know-how to coast along and retire in peace, but her boss refuses to follow the usual script, and her rivals keep trying to make her “graduate by force.”

When true love clashes with practical considerations, and a lifelong partnership becomes “first sovereign and subject, then husband and wife”…

Shen Qingyi is furious. “Whoever wants to work this awful job can have it! I’m changing companies!”

But her scheming boss corners her against the wall. “My beloved consort, your employment contract is for life.”
