The Last Supper

[Two chapters daily] [One at 12 noon, one at 8 p.m.]

That day, the gods elegantly tore open the sky screen and turned the civilized world into their “Last Supper.” Monsters were the appetizers, fallen cities the plates, and billions of living beings the “main course” waiting to be slaughtered.

Before the god-blessed, who had awakened divine natures and commanded immense power, Liang Tianming was the only “man without a fate”: a worthless nobody with no future, not even qualified to become a “dish.” Crouched in a corner of the ruins, he watched others shine brilliantly and swallowed the poison called “resentment.”

Only when a world-ending behemoth swallowed him along with the last glimmer of light did Liang Tianming finally hear the ravenous roar deep within his soul, amid endless despair. It turned out that when the whole world had become diners and dishes, his was the only status that made him a “diner.”

He raised his hand toward the “gods” filling the sky and the grotesque demons, and smiled coldly.

“Devour thunder? Command fire? Those divine natures you’re so proud of are nothing but desserts on my menu.”

“From this day on, I’m the one placing the order for this apocalyptic feast.”

“I’m no sacrifice. I’m here to ‘eat.’”

Your end is my table.
