The Ashen Body Game

My younger sister, Lin Muqing, is barely clothed, screaming, “My brother-in-law is a monster!”

Ten years ago, a fire set to force us out of our home took our parents' lives. Ten years later, I, Lin Muyan, put myself in the line of fire to infiltrate the Fu family and gather evidence, but instead I dragged my whole family into hell. My second sister, Lin Muyu, betrayed us and married our enemy's son, Fu Chengyu. He beat her while she was pregnant, and the baby was born deformed. Our youngest sister, Muqing, was violated by Fu Chengyu and suffered a mental breakdown.

At our most desperate, Jiang Chenxi returned in triumph. The man who once fought in underground boxing matches for me, worked as a detective, and held down several jobs is now an up-and-coming power in high society. He has the irrefutable evidence from the fire all those years ago and plans to bring the Fu family down for good. But when he sees me writhing beneath our enemy, he confronts me like a madman: “Lin Muyan, which is dirtier, your body or your heart?”

There are no winners in this revenge plot. My second sister steals my evidence to preserve her status, my youngest sister wants to kill her child to protect her innocence, and I actually fall for Fu Chengyu's tenderness. When Jiang Chenxi points his gun at Fu Chengyu, I step between them, because my youngest sister's prenatal test shows that Fu Chengyu has a terminal illness. If he dies, all the evidence will be buried forever.

The Fu family owes me three lives. It's time they paid. But in this trap where I used myself as bait, who is the one destined to be trapped for good?
