ER: My TCM Skills Take the Whole Hospital by Storm

Lin Yan, 28, is the heir to a family of traditional Chinese medicine practitioners. Following his grandfather's will, which instructed him to “train in a Western hospital's emergency department for three years first,” he conceals his background in Chinese medicine and joins the emergency department of the city's First People's Hospital, a highly ranked top-tier hospital nationwide where Western medicine holds sway and Chinese medicine is widely dismissed.

- His core golden finger: the family-inherited Emergency Medicine Record of the Green Satchel, along with an extraordinary ability to remember everything and diagnose illness through traditional Chinese medicine. He excels at acupuncture, herbal decoctions, bone-setting, and meridian treatments, and is especially skilled at rapidly treating emergencies, such as heart attacks, strokes, allergic shock, and traumatic infections, that pose a challenge to Western medicine. The story explores the clash between traditional Chinese medical techniques and modern Western medicine, the tension between concealing the protagonist's identity and being forced to reveal it, the balance between inheriting and innovating traditional medicine, and the resolution of crises of trust between doctors and patients.
