Lin Mo was once an inconspicuous “straggler” at the back of an end-times convoy. During a monstrous attack on a small town, he awakens the “Enhancement” Sequence in the depths of despair. Anything can be enhanced, from a steel pipe to a piece of scrap metal. Given enough time, it can surpass its limits and grow stronger without end.
After the convoy is wiped out, he sets out alone, cleaving through the fog with his enhanced blade and driving a modified vehicle through the ruins. The steel jungle of the metropolis hides shadows that devour people, while the winds and sand of the wasteland carry unknown dangers. Every step brings him to the edge of life and death.
Then rumors reach him of a “human settlement,” where powerful Sequence users have built barriers that block the monsters’ gaze, like a lighthouse in the apocalypse. Lin Mo tightens his grip on his ever-sharper weapon. There is no end to the path of enhancement, and the way to survive lies in the faint light ahead.
His power of enhancement is his confidence in fighting the monsters, and his only means of carving out a chance to survive in this wasteland.
