To raise enough money for his younger sister’s surgery, Chen Mo takes a job as a night-shift security guard at the “World Mythology Museum,” which claims to be the largest of its kind on Earth.
The work is easy: patrol, wipe away dust, and occasionally deal with a few mentally unstable trespassers. But something about this museum feels off. The exhibits, including “Thor’s Hammer,” the “Sea-Calming Needle,” and the “Statue of Nike,” seem to hold some kind of power. Whenever Chen Mo touches them while cleaning, he feels noticeably refreshed. Some of the trespassers claim to be fallen angels, while others say they are yaksha from the underworld. They act ridiculously over the top, yet are incredibly weak, and he takes them down with ease using his security baton. Chen Mo has no idea that, day after day, the power of Eastern and Western deities is quietly flowing into him through his “cleaning” and “security” duties. Then one day, while trying to rescue his kidnapped younger sister, he steps outside the museum for the first time. In that instant, the dormant world of supernatural powers in the city erupts into chaos. A world-ending divine might, blending countless mythologies, surges into the sky, and every divine remnant and supernatural being on Earth trembles before it. The world’s supernatural organizations cry, “Find out who this suddenly emerged ‘Lord of All Gods’ is!”
Chen Mo: “??? I’m just a security guard!”
