In the Name of the People: Dropped into Jingzhou to Rule with an Iron Fist

Gu Yan, the leading figure of the third generation of the Gu family in Yanjing, is urgently summoned by the Council of Elders.

He is parachuted into Handong Province to take up the post of Jingzhou Party Secretary.

At this time, the Zhao family’s network is deeply entrenched throughout Handong, and corruption runs rampant.

In Jingzhou, Li Dakang is obsessed with GDP above all else, and his one-man rule has left the people seething with resentment.

The newly arrived Handong Party Secretary, Sha Ruijin, talks endlessly about rules but has no idea where to begin.

Everyone assumes that the young scion of the Gu family has come only to pad his resume and go through the motions.

Gu Yan smiles and gently blows the foam from his teacup.

He didn’t come to Handong to entertain guests.

He came to flip the table.

Confronted with Li Dakang’s forceful manner, Gu Yan simply throws a 50-billion-yuan national-level project his way, and the “capable official” willingly becomes his errand boy.

When the Zhao family’s young master threatens him, Gu Yan dispatches special police to operate outside their jurisdiction, leveling Yueya Lake Food City overnight.

When Sha Ruijin tries to put him in his place, Gu Yan silences him with the province’s top economic figures.

From cleaning up the bureaucracy to driving an economic boom.

From crushing organized crime to building the great powers’ most formidable weapons.

Gu Yan uses sheer strength to make one thing clear to everyone:

As long as Gu Yan is in Handong, the sky will never fall.

This is the iron-blooded path of a steadfast patriot, reshaping the land and its people.
