I Set the World Ablaze with Beacon Fires

He was once the brightest star in the imperial capital, as well as the “greatest wastrel” despised by all.

Overnight, his family fell, and a household of loyal heroes became prisoners. The world laughed at him for being a fool and called him worthless, never knowing what astonishing edge lay hidden behind those bleary, drunken eyes.

“Old Huang, the mutton leg tastes bland today.”

“Young master, the times have grown too salty.”

A shocking miscarriage of justice plunges him into an endless abyss. From a spoiled young master who reveled in luxury to a wanted criminal fleeing for his life. The bloody frontier, the flashing blades of the martial world, the raging waves of the Eastern Sea... Every step hides a threat, and every move is part of a plot.

But the road he walks has never been one of escape. It is a path of revenge, and also... a path to saving the world! “I light the beacons not to fool the feudal lords, but to show you the way home.”

When the Di Rong's iron hooves crush the frontier, when treacherous officials throw the court into chaos, when the “Hidden Dragon” from overseas bares its fangs... he, Chen Zhuo, makes himself a torch, stealing a glimmer of light for all under heaven in this darkest of worlds!

“Young master, the truth lies both in the edge of a blade and between bites of roast mutton.” Watch as this “greatest wastrel,” in an age of gloom, becomes a beacon and sets the whole world ablaze with light!
