At 37, he's a factory grunt, short, and a failure at life.

For more than a decade, Li Jingxiu kept his head down on the assembly line, earning nothing but a body full of aches and a heart gone numb.

Then he fell asleep to the roar of the machines and bound himself to the [Rat Race Observer System].

Other people's struggles became his path to immortality.

While his coworkers pulled all-nighters, he healed. While supervisors fought among themselves, he recharged. While his rivals drove themselves into a frenzy competing, he profited in reverse, and his cultivation soared.

From then on, his life changed course:

His body grew younger, returning to its prime. He could copy any skill at will and amaze everyone with his talent.

He built a "pure land" free of internal strife inside the factory and became the uncrowned king whom every rat-race champion wanted to support.

When he decided to leave the factory and venture into a wider world, his former rivals realized in horror:

All their frantic striving had been adding bricks and tiles to Li Jingxiu's path to godhood.

This is the story of a failure who stopped fighting himself, only to find the whole world starting to work hard for him.
