Steel and Burning Souls: A Modern Warrior’s Last Stand at Songhu

When a modern warrior king finds himself on the most brutal battlefield, he uses the hardest steel to forge a new backbone for a nation.

Lin Feng, codename “Jailer,” is a war specialist in Huaxia’s strongest special forces unit. After an accident, he transmigrates to the heart of the inferno that was the 1937 Battle of Songhu, bringing with him elite modern military skills and a meager supply of equipment.

There, he witnesses the tragic heroism of men using their own flesh and blood to stand against the enemy’s steel tide. At Luodian, where blood and bodies cover the ground, and at the Sihang Warehouse, defended to the last, he uses tactics and skills far ahead of their time to become the “Phantom of Zhabei,” writing one legend after another amid the ruins, each one striking fear into the enemy.

But individual prowess cannot reverse the collapse of a war between nations.

After “disappearing” from the world’s attention at the Sihang Warehouse, he chooses a different path: infiltrating enemy territory and sowing the principles of modern warfare like seeds of fire. He is no longer a lone warrior king, but a swordsmith tempering steel. The unit he trains by hand becomes a deadly blade operating behind enemy lines; the advanced weapon designs in his mind are the light of dawn this era yearns for most.

Yet he faces more than a ruthless enemy. There is also suspicion from within and the shackles of outdated thinking. In the torrent of history, how will this unstoppable blade cut through the fog ahead?

This is a hard-hitting collision between modern military thinking and the blood and fire of the war against Japanese aggression. There is no System and no golden finger, only the iron will and vast knowledge of a soldier of the Republic, igniting an unyielding steel spirit at the most perilous moment for his nation!
