I'm Begging You, Go Play the Game Instead of Playing with Me!

(Not a fast-paced face-slapping power fantasy + character growth + heroine + game + fictional world + the protagonist’s real identity remains hidden)

My name is Alice. I live in a village on the border of the Empire. One day, bandits ransacked the village and killed my entire family.

That night, a strange voice began whispering in my ear.

Every day it says things I can’t understand at all, like “This game is hardcore,” and “How are you so poor you can’t even afford food?”

My body also runs around all over the place without my control.

Then soldiers appeared out of nowhere beside me.

That strange voice sounded in my ear again.

“Recruit soldiers first. Start by wiping out bandits, level up to mounted archers, then declare war on the southern kingdoms.”

“Damn all that. I don’t care about any of it. Conquer the world first, worry about the rest later!”

From then on, that strange voice controlled her as she led her army, either fighting battles or marching off to besiege cities… Gradually, she became known to everyone as the King of War.

But I have to say, Alice is on the verge of tears, yet grinning wildly. “None of this is under my control! Unifying the continent was just an accident! I really am a good person, you have to believe me!”

My name is Xia Yang. I’m an office worker who loves playing games, and you probably won’t believe this.

By playing games, I became a god of faith…

How was I supposed to know the people in the game were real?!
