Seven-Year Memorial: My Best Friend's Scheme Turns My Secret Love into a Battlefield

When Lan Xin is embraced by Ye Fei, her best friend’s husband, in the bathroom, her body reacts in a way she cannot control.

“Don’t move!” Ye Fei’s burning breath brushes the back of her ear. “Don’t pretend to be your friend to seduce me.”

It turns out her friend’s scheme began three years ago, when Chen Ye married Ye Fei.

The wealthy woman who kept Lan Xin’s husband, Wu Can, was none other than Chen Ye’s maternal aunt, Li Meifeng.

“Want revenge?” Ye Fei lightly bites her earlobe. “Work with me. I’ll stake my entire future on helping you win.”

Lan Xin writes, directs, and stars in the hundred-episode short drama The Seventh-Year Memorial. They are filming Scene Three of Episode Thirty.

At Chen Lu’s birthday dinner, Ye Fei gets drunk on real liquor to get close to Lan Xin. He passes out completely.

Lan Xin and Wu Yong suggest taking Ye Fei back to his dorm, but Chen Lu gently refuses. “I’ll take good care of him.”

The scene shifts. The hotel room door clicks shut, and Chen Lu strokes the drunken Ye Fei with a soft laugh.

“Young Master Ye, the Lan Xin you call for in your dreams will never know. After tonight, you’ll belong to me forever.”

At the monitors, Lan Xin watches Su Man’s performance, chilled to the bone.

This is no longer just a script. It is a true reenactment of what Chen Ye did to her and Ye Fei back then!

The assistant director praises her. “Su Man brings Chen Lu’s cruelty to life. That was so convincing!”

Trembling, Lan Xin presses the intercom button. “Cut!”

When Lan Xin tears off her innocent mask and becomes a goddess of revenge, and her deceitful ex-husband Wu Can kneels and begs for forgiveness, she is sitting on Ye Fei’s desk, waving a pregnancy test. “Tell me, should the baby call you Uncle, or Old Man?”

After giving herself to her secretly loved CEO in the name of revenge, Lan Xin bankrupts her best friend Chen Ye and makes sure her ex-husband Wu Can spends the rest of his life behind bars…
