Cultivating Immortality as a Mortal: I Pursue Longevity Through the Way of Formations

[Mortal cultivation / cautious and steady / formation arts / decisive and ruthless] After transmigrating to the cultivation world, Ye Yuan becomes a minor rogue cultivator in Taikang Immortal City. One day, the old Wang next door is gravely injured. Ye Yuan treats him and saves his life, but Wang loses all his cultivation. “Daoist Ye, I’m just a mortal now. You should take my Dao companion from here on. I don’t deserve her. I’ve let her down!” Along with Wang, he leaves Ye Yuan a book called A Record of Basic Formations. Ye Yuan tries his hand at formations and discovers that he has an extraordinary talent for them. So he devotes himself to studying formation arts. Once he masters them, he ascends the path to immortality and slays the prodigies in his way. When Ye Yuan reaches the pinnacle of the immortal path, he looks back at the lowly grave and sighs. “Old Wang, you were a good man. Rest in peace. I’ll take care of your wife, so you needn’t worry!”
