AI Helps Me Make Money: The Good-for-Nothing New Media Creator's Comeback

Synopsis:

Twenty-six-year-old Wang Dachui is unemployed and living on instant noodles when the Doubao AI on his secondhand phone suddenly becomes his “money-making buddy” and kicks him into the new media business. Starting from scratch as a clueless snack reviewer, he fumbles through filming videos, livestreams to an audience of bots, falls for traffic scams, faces quality-control crises, gets smeared by competitors, and is betrayed by a key employee. But with Doubao AI’s help, he uses AI tools to develop topics, edit videos, and manage his supply chain, establishing himself with an approach built on “compliance, hard work, and no gimmicks.” From earning 80 yuan a month to surpassing 3 million yuan in GMV, from being a socially anxious good-for-nothing to a top-tier star in the “light wellness snacks” niche, Wang Dachui not only achieves financial freedom but also builds an “AI + homegrown brands” ecosystem, helping others make their own comebacks. Absurd comedy meets hard-won practical know-how in this tale of an AI and an ordinary man writing their own money-making comeback story.
