From the Start: A Beautiful Streamer and My Roommate Story

After workplace comrades-in-slacking Liao Yang and Shen Xueting both quit their exploitative jobs, fate brings them together again. Shen Xueting's dream of becoming a model falls apart, and after being swindled out of everything she owns, she returns to Shengjing in a sorry state. The person who takes her in is none other than her former coworker Liao Yang, whose looks rival those of a Korean heartthrob. And so begins a laugh-out-loud life of sharing an apartment. From workplace venting to the daily grind, the two spar for the upper hand in their cramped home. To help Shen Xueting move past her trauma, Liao Yang becomes her agent and helps her reinvent herself as an online streamer. From disastrous livestreams to an unexpected rise to fame, their makeshift operation delivers one laugh after another. When old scandals and romantic misunderstandings come crashing in, the girl once mocked for having a “husband-dooming face” is one of a kind in Liao Yang's eyes. He shows her through his actions: “If fate is a high-stakes gamble, I'll bet my whole life on us being together.” This is a heartwarming story about devotion, growth, and love. Watch two lone urban wanderers turn a disastrous first meeting into the brightest star in each other's lives.
