Rule Horror: What Do You Mean Our School Rules Aren’t That Strict?

Just how absurd can the rules at Qingteng Middle School get? The trash cans must be empty, desks must be clear, and getting up at six for a morning run is part of daily life. Break the rules and you’ll get a demerit and be called out publicly. It’s worse than death. When the wave of Rule-Tale horrors arrives, a rookie horror confidently posts its “survival rules,” only to be utterly outclassed by the school regulations. Keeping the trash cans empty is standard practice, clearing desks is routine, and even the “punishment” of getting up at eight is treated by students as a luxurious perk they’re grateful for. The horror is baffled: break the rules and you die, so why is nobody afraid? Transfer student Lin Xiao is the only one who sees the terrifying truth, but her classmates worry about getting demerits, not dying. Even the horror can’t help asking for advice: how on earth do you beat these ridiculous school rules? Thus begins a darkly comic showdown between Rule-Tales and school regulations.
