The Dali Temple Magistrate Sweeps the Court with Her Forensic Skills

The entire family of the former Chief Justice of the Court of Judicial Review was framed, leaving only his orphaned daughter, Shen Yu, to hide in a funeral home, keeping company with the dead. Five years later, disguised as a man under the name Shen Yu, she returned to the heart of power, the Court of Judicial Review, armed with extraordinary forensic skills that could uncover the smallest details and communicate with the dead.

The bizarre Butterfly Murder Case kicked off a strange chain of events. A wealthy young man from the capital died suddenly on his wedding night, his body dusted with strange butterfly powder and his face frozen in a peaceful smile. Shen Yu cut through the mystery to reveal the truth, only to uncover a secret from the previous dynasty and a jade pendant worn by her cold-faced superior, Lu Jingsi, that was identical to the one left behind by her father.

From then on, one bizarre case followed another. A cult sacrifice on Niubei Island, deadly prophecies, and seven officials who died on a deserted island as if cursed. Deep within the palace, a favored concubine was poisoned by a strange toxin, and the evidence pointed straight to a blood-red coral. At the Golden Chime Hall, the truth about a pair of twin crown princes remained impossible to discern, sparking a political storm...

Among the bones, Shen Yu listened to the grievances of the dead; through the fog, she followed every last clue. She and the enigmatic Lu Jingsi were both rivals and allies, and amid their life-and-death clashes, feelings began to stir. When every clue pointed to the mighty Underworld Pavilion, lurking in the shadows of the dynasty, she finally realized that her father’s death, her dearest friend’s injury, and even the fate of the realm were all part of an elaborate dream woven by the mastermind behind it all.

See how this female coroner wields bones as blades and truth as armor, sweeping the treacherous from the imperial court and becoming a legendary Chief Justice of the Court of Judicial Review!
