The retirement Lu Manman imagined:
Find a place with beautiful scenery and springlike weather all year round, buy a little house with a courtyard, plant flowers and greenery, and put up a swing beneath a flower-covered trellis...
Sleep until she wakes naturally every day. Cook when she feels like it, or order takeout when she doesn't...
Every now and then, when the mood strikes, pack a couple of changes of clothes and take off on a spontaneous trip.
The retirement she actually got:
She was abandoned on a desolate planet before she was even born, while still in her mother's womb.
As soon as she was born, she had to scramble just to get enough milk to fill her hungry belly.
