The Yin-Yang Programmer

While everyone else transmigrates into the world of immortal cultivation, I, Lin Yan, a 996 programmer, get electrocuted and go straight to work for the Underworld.

And so begins my double life:

By day, I’m a tech consultant for a frosty female forensic doctor at the police station, writing code while staring at corpses.

By night, I maintain the Underworld’s System, tapping a wooden fish while facing ghosts.

My clients aren’t human, and my requests are downright hellish:

“Engineer Lin, the Book of Life and Death System has crashed again. Fix it ASAP!”

“Consultant Lin, this water ghost’s obsession code has a bug. It’s stuck in a loop and can’t get out!”

I’d planned to make a living on both sides with my technical skills, until I discovered that the great fire from twenty years ago, the curse haunting my family, and the source of this so-called “blessing” of mine all pointed to the same earth-shattering bug...

Now here’s the question: If this world is a program, who’s writing the code behind the scenes? Am I fixing bugs in ghosts and monsters, or the flaws in people’s hearts?

[A Programmer’s Daily Life]

· Ghost messenger: Engineer Lin, this new batch of vengeful spirits has off-the-chart resentment levels. The System’s sounding the alarm!

· Lin Yan: Give me a moment. I’ll write a “Rebirth Purification” script and run it in batches.

· Female forensic doctor: Lin Yan, the cause of death is unknown.

· Lin Yan: (staring at the corpse’s head) Hmm, the Error Log for his soul says “Unexpected Termination.”
