The Good-for-Nothing Rises: With the Empress and Divine Beasts, I’ll Crush the Nine Heavens

Chen Ye, a menial disciple born a good-for-nothing, is publicly dumped by his childhood sweetheart, Liu Ruoxue. After enduring humiliation, his meridians are crippled and he is thrown into the treacherous Valley of Demonic Beasts. On the brink of death, the mysterious jade pendant on his chest awakens when stained with blood. The lingering soul of the ancient Female Emperor Ling Qinghan appears and invites him to form a life-sharing pact.

As it turns out, Chen Ye isn't a good-for-nothing at all. He possesses a sealed Chaos Spiritual Root! With the Female Emperor's inheritance, he rebuilds his foundation and advances at astonishing speed. Accompanied by his contracted divine beast, Huihui, he makes a triumphant return. He stuns everyone at the sect tournament and face-slaps the one who broke off their engagement; claims the advantage in a secret realm and wins a dragon egg's allegiance. When the sect and the Abyssal Void Palace join forces to hunt him, he fights his way out and flees to the Central Continent.

From then on, Chen Ye excels in both alchemy and martial arts. He uses starsteel to help his divine beast evolve and makes a name for himself at the Danding Pavilion with his Emperor-grade alchemy. He befriends a formation prodigy and a young woman who is the human incarnation of a spirit herb, then establishes the Lingxiao Alliance. From a good-for-nothing on the frontier to a powerful figure in the Central Continent and finally a contender in the Sacred Domain, he keeps rising, face-slapping his enemies, protecting the women he loves, and carefully plotting every move. He swears to avenge the Female Emperor by taking down Mo Yuan, who betrayed her, and the Abyssal Void Palace.

This is a legendary comeback from the brink of despair, an epic tale of conquest with beauties at his side and divine beasts by his side. Watch Chen Ye shatter the nine heavens, crush his powerful foes, and join hands with the Female Emperor to reach the pinnacle of the continent, becoming the Chaos Emperor whose legend will be told for all eternity!
