You Took the Whole Company in Hand Right Away, and You Call That a Rookie?

On his very first day as a new recruit,

Lu Zheng did something outrageous:

he talked back to Squad Leader Lao Pao in front of everyone

and called him a lunatic!

Everyone thought the kid would be worked until his skin peeled off,

but no one expected him

to overtake Lao Pao during a ten-kilometer run.

They tried to embarrass him by teaching him military hand-to-hand combat?

He sent Lao Pao flying with a single punch,

stunning the entire company.

A surprise attack during special forces selection?

He led his teammates through the encirclement

and took the Blue Army's headquarters all by himself.

Every step Lu Zheng takes shatters expectations.

Company Commander Miao delays his retirement for him,

Captain Gao stands up to the brass on his behalf,

and even his rivals can't help trying to poach him.
